Sports Fields: Natural and Artificial Turf
Sports fields are in high demand. As cities find it increasingly difficult to meet the needs of soccer, field hockey, football and other clubs, they are recognizing the benefits of artificial turf.
Artificial turf has become a preferred solution to maximize land use, accommodate play 365 days a year, reduce maintenance costs, and eliminate fertilizers and the need for irrigation. Our team has successfully designed and administered contracts for the design of 6 artificial fields over the past 6 years. Though artificial turf generates large amounts of storm water runoff, we design the fields to successfully harvest and recycle this water.
When natural turf is the preferred option, we focus on careful grading, good drainage both above and below grade, the right turf, and an effective watering and fertilizing regime.

“Our new playground and sports field is an overwhelming success with the students, teachers and community at large. By listening carefully to all of us, directly engaging the turf suppliers, and incorporating custom solutions to improve safety, the Hoyle team helped us gain consensus, raise funds, and make our vision a reality. We think it is truly incredible.”
